Do you need a remote for a wave II radio?

I needed this for a Wave II radio/cd player I purchased 2nd hand. It works just like its supposed to. Even works on Wave III & new Wave IV systems which I have original remotes. With the newer systems without control buttons on the radio it’s nice to have multiple remotes to conveniently adjust funtions on multiple devices.
