Not sure about the Smart Link settings. HDMI CEC is a PITA and the more evices you have then the more likely it is to start causing issues. If wanting to use CEC then you’d have to turn it on onboard the AV receiver as welll as the other devices connected to that AV receiver.

The speakers should be position on or as near as possible to the front left and right speakers. The speakers should be at a height no more than 50% of the ceiling height.
