Why is the soundbar not working on my Sony TV?

I hooked up a different soundbar which also wasn’t very loud. I chatted with Sony support and we fixed the loudness problem by resetting the tv back to the factory defaults. The new soundbar also turns on by itself even after resetting the tv.
